However, the App may automatically collect certain non-personal information to ensure technical functionality, including:

Device Information: Model, OS version, and unique device identifiers.
Usage Data: Information on how you interact with the app (e.g., search queries, content viewed).
IP Address: Collected temporarily for the purpose of network communication with our API and servers.

2. Data Usage

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain the educational service.
To improve app performance and user experience.
To facilitate the fetching of Lecture Notes and Question Papers via our remote API.
To manage promotional banners and external links.

3. Data Storage and Caching

To provide a seamless experience and support offline access, the App utilizes local storage:

API Caching: Content data (JSON) is cached locally for up to 6 hours.
PDF Caching: PDF files are stored temporarily in the device's cache directory to allow faster reopening and offline viewing. These files are typically cleared after 6 hours or by the system when storage is needed.
No Sensitive Data: We do not store any sensitive or personal user data on the device or our servers.

4. Security Features

We prioritize the protection of our educational content and your privacy:

Screen Protection: The App employs FLAG_SECURE to discourage screenshots and screen recordings of the content.
Resource Security: PDF links are not directly exposed in the UI to prevent unauthorized sharing outside the app environment.
Disclaimer: While these features act as strong deterrents, they do not constitute full Digital Rights Management (DRM). Users are encouraged to use the content responsibly.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with the following third-party services:

Hosting/CDN: Used to host and deliver PDF files and API responses efficiently.
External Browsers: Promotional banners or external links may open in your device's default web browser. These external sites have their own privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for students aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately from our records.

7. Content Ownership & Removal

All educational materials, including lecture notes and question papers, belong to their respective owners. HKT PGIMS Notes & QP does not claim ownership of third-party content. If you are a copyright owner and wish to request the removal of any content, please contact us using the information below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon being posted within the App or on this page.
